Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, speaking with young people, parents and teachers via street information stands and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools.
